To receive the CPO® Certification, students are required to participate in either a two day class taught by a NSPF® certified instructor or the blended format. The blended format combines the online Pool Operator Primer™ and one day of the Pool Operator Fusion™ class of instruction.
At the end of the second day, students take an open book examination. The passing grade is 75% or higher. The CPO® Certification is valid for five years.
Some of the topics covered in the CPO® Certification program includes: Pool and Spa Chemistry, Essential Calculations, Filtration, Water Balance and the Saturation Index.
The CPO® Certification courses are designed to provide individuals with the basic knowledge, techniques, and skills of pool and spa operations.
The Certified Pool & Spa Operator® Certification program has delivered more training than any other program in the pool and spa industry since 1972. There are over 300,000+ successful CPO® Certifications in more than 93 countries around the world.
